Life is BEAUTIFUL!!!


we've always been cribbing bout wht isn't right... lookin for the BIG joys in life... but sadly missing out on the smaller ones. life has been moving jus too fast for us to realise "we rn't living it... it's jus passing us by". think bout it... i have a frien who said.. we begin to live;but the moment before we die... how true! life is so much simpler than wht we think o it. It is indeed BEAUTIFUL!!! how many o us realise the Peace rain brings with it. all we c is the water n the water logging on roads ... how many o us c the happiness an ol man feels when he slowly crosses the road by himself....? all we c, is the nuisance it is for the others to wait for him... Patience, Chivalry, modestly r virtues long forgotten... i'm no one to comment on anyone else coz i'm probably the most impatient person i know.. my temper knows no boundaries when i loose it but then.. it's jus one o those days when i sit back n think bout wht cud have been n wht became. May be someday soon i might jus be able to make a change in who i live... not jus let life pass me by. maybe i'd live everyday as it were my last... so tht when i woke up the next mornin... i'd smile to myself n say... welcome sunshine... it's a brand new day. I'd take the time to feel the wind in my face, the soothing sound o the rain.... the rustling of leaves .. get some more sun. life wud in all honestly be lived then n i wud be a happier person.
Sometimes it is the little things tht make all the difference in the world... and make life worth living. well tht's jus my point o view. but think bout it....

Walking down memory lane, looking at pictures from the past, I linger on to this one where my dad's in uniform. Somewhere in the east I think or was it up north. I wonder. The only thing I remember for sure is his reaction to every time I called from law school. "Is everything ok? It's not weekend already is it? Reflections!

She took a moment to stop fidgeting and looked at the reflection.  What she saw amazed her and yet she found it hard to recognize.  The childlike smile and kind eyes that stared back at her quizzically. What had changed? Why was there emptiness where once there was pure joy?   She smiled a wary smile, looked deeper into those eyes that were once kind. Only to find a shallow pool of tears welling inside. And as she turned around to leave she heard a faint voice.  A gentle voice that said “let go”. “Let go and come back to being the girl you were always meant to be and not the empty shell I see in front of me now.”

Drunken conversations - A moment in time

Winters brought along thick cover of fog that had just started to roll in. Law school didn’t give her as many sleepless nights as the two boys in her life did.  It was  2:30 am  by her watch and the persistent beep of a call waiting made her take note of the name on the screen. ‘Damn!’ She thought to herself, it was probably the fourth time this month she’d have to tell her boy that she needed to take the other call and he was definitely going to be mad at her this time. It had to be done. She made her excuse and switched the line. “Hello!”she said a little anxiously, but before she could say anything else, the drunk voice from the other end shouted joyously “Baby, I got a job, I got placed”.
